About Chevening Government Scholarship
Chevening is the UK government’s international awards programme aimed at developing global leaders.
Funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and partner organisations.
Chevening offers two types of award – Chevening Scholarships and Chevening Fellowships – the recipients of which are personally selected by British embassies and high commissions throughout the world.
Chevening offers a unique opportunity for future leaders, influencers, and decision-makers from all over the world to develop professionally and academically, network extensively, experience UK culture, and build lasting positive relationships with the UK.
Since 1983, over 50,000 professionals have studied in the UK through Chevening.
Chevening’s impact report gives you an insight into some of the inspirational successes that the Chevening community has achieved, and the difference they continue to make all around the world.
> Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.
> Return to your country for a minimum of 2 years after your award has ended.
> Have completed undergraduate degree.
> Have at least 2 years of work experience.
> Have applied to 3 different eligible UK universities and received an offer from at least one.
